Change a diagram
Click the diagram and do one or more of the following:
Add or delete a shape or element
- If you want to add a shape or element, select the shape that you
want to add the new shape under or next to, and then click
Insert Shape on the
Diagram
toolbar.
- If you want to delete a shape or element, select it and press
DELETE.
Move an element or segment
- Select the element or segment of the diagram that you want to
move.
- On the
Diagram
toolbar, click
Move shape forward or
Move shape backward.
Reverse the diagram
- Select the element or segment of the diagram that you want to
reverse.
- On the
Diagram
toolbar, click
Reverse diagram
.
Change text color
- Select the text you want to change.
- On the
Drawing
toolbar, click the arrow next to
Font Color
.
- Do one of the following:
- To change the text color back to its default, click
Automatic.
- To change to another color, click one of the colors below
Automatic.
Add or change text
- To add or change text to a shape, right-click the shape, click
Edit Text, and type the text.
For target and
cycle diagrams, you can only add text to
text elements.
Change the preset design scheme
- If you want to add or change a preset design scheme, click
AutoFormat
on the
Diagram
toolbar, and select a style from the
Diagram Style Gallery.
Change a shape or element fill
color
- Select the shape you want to change.
- On the
Drawing toolbar, click the arrow next to
Fill Color
.
- Do one or more of the following:
Add or change a fill color
Do one of the following:
- To change the fill color back to its default, click
Automatic.
- To change to a color in the color scheme, click one of the
colors below
Automatic.
Add or change a gradient, patterned,
textured, or picture fill
- Click
Fill Effects, and then click the
Gradient,
Texture,
Picture or
Pattern tab.
- Select the options you want.
Remove a fill
Change the line style or color
Change the diagram to another diagram
type
- On the
Diagram
toolbar, click
Change to, and then click the diagram type
you want.
